Orthopedic Physical Therapist in Hackensack, NJ

PT That Actually Fixes the Problem

Active adults come to us when pain or injury has kept them from training, running, or doing the things they love — and everything else they've tried hasn't solved it. That changes here.

Still Dealing With the Same Pain That Nobody Has Actually Fixed?

You've Tried Rest. It Came Back.

Taking time off felt like the right call. But the pain returned the moment you got back to training — because rest doesn't fix the root cause.

Other Providers Gave You Generic Exercises.

A handout and ten minutes on a machine isn't physical therapy. If you've left appointments feeling like just another chart, you're not wrong — that's exactly what typical PT delivers.

You Were Told to Just Stop Doing What You Love.

"Stop lifting." "Take a break from running." That advice doesn't address anything — it just delays it. You deserve a plan to keep moving, not a reason to stop.

Dr. Puzio is one of the smartest and caring PTs and made me feel beyond comfortable & at ease. I’ve never been to PT nor had a major injury so this was my first for both. I immediately felt the compassion and determination from a single person to get me feeling better. Thank you for all your hard work in getting people back and stronger everyday. 💪💪

I’m currently on a healing journey for an old shoulder injury as an amateur Muay Thai fighter. In the short time working with Doctor Puzio, I've been able to regain my confidence in my movements and prevent future injuries. The professionalism and the ability to identify the issue and start fixing it right away has been remarkable.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions about cash-based PT? Here's what active adults ask us most before booking.

Do you accept insurance?

Ethos Physical Therapy is a cash-based, self-pay clinic. We do not bill insurance directly. We can provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement, and we also submit OON claims as a courtesy through Reimbursify at no cost to you. HSA and FSA payments are accepted.

How is this different from PT I've tried before?

Every session at Ethos is one-on-one for a full 60 minutes with a DPT and Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist — no aides, no techs, no being handed off mid-session. Most clinics juggle multiple patients at once. We don't, and that difference is everything.

Will I have to stop training during treatment?

Our goal is to keep you as active as possible throughout care. We work with you to modify activity where needed — not eliminate it. Most patients continue training with smart adjustments while we address the underlying issue.

How long will it take to feel better?

Every person is different, and we don't make timeline promises. What we can tell you is that the evaluation process gives you a clear picture of what's going on and a plan to address it — so you're not just guessing and waiting.

What should I expect at my first appointment?

Your initial session is a full evaluation — movement assessment, discussion of your history and goals, and a clear explanation of what we found and how we'll address it. You leave with a plan, not a printout.
